2017 can be considered as the biggest and challenging year for Harley Davidson after the debut of Twin-Cam in the year 1999. The entire touring line saw some vast and serious changes after the release of the new Milwaukee Eight. The empire of Harley Davidson is building on the terms of performance and aesthetics that assures that the wait has not been in vain. The 2017 Road King is considered as most awaited bike and holds an aggressive attitude for the 2017 bagger lineup, and we truly love it.
The Road King Special is the high performance, sleekest and newest bagger by Juneau Avenue after the debut of Street Glide in 2006. A massive gloss-black headlamp nacelle and the deletion of most chrome from the headlight is the signature element of the 2017 Road King Special. Road King Special has successfully pulled Harley-Davidson’s touring line to a new styling direction. The mini-ape handlebar of 1.25-inch-diameter which is 9-inch-tall puts the rider in a comfortable posture on the bike. The air cleaner and engine is designed in such a way to reduce sound intake and ensuring maximum airflow. The engine of this bike is mechanically quieter and meets all the emissions standards.
One of the major aesthetic changes to the bike is swapping chrome for black and fantastic gloss black turbine cast-aluminum wheels. The Road King Special’s handlebar, engine guard, turn signals, air cleaner cover, mirrors, engine covers, exhaust shields and mufflers also feature black surfaces which look great. A 17-inch rear wheel and 19-inch front wheel with a low-profile fender give the bike an aggressive stance. The hand adjustable technology of the bike offers 20 percent more pre-load adjustment than previous shocks. The double-bending valve technology also offers a great performance of a racing-style cartridge fork and reduced weight.
There are no badges and waterslide graphics on the bike and Harley-Davidson is affixed to each part of the tank. This bike has an 18-inch multispoke rear wheel which is one of the elements of Harley Davidson bike and has a 19-spoke entrance to enrich it. The engine of the bike features a modern styling and sleek look that represents the heritage of previous Harley-Davidson. It is also the first model that features Milwaukee-Eight in an all-black engine finish. The exhaust catalyst is relocated and the rear exhaust pipe is repositioned to move heat away from the passenger. The speed of the bike is reduced from 1,000 rpm to 850 rpm. The front and rear suspension components enhance the control, comfort, and performance of the bike that is featured on all the models of 2017 Harley-Davidson.
To experience the performance of Harley-Davidson motorcycle line-up and feel the power of the Milwaukee-Eight engine, one should surely schedule a test ride at a local authorized dealer.
