Bike enthusiasts have been fascinated by the Aprilia Factory Works Program for the last two years and now they have raised the bar to a next new level. ‘Factory Works’ project have given the opportunity to the customers to get access to their machines. It can be considered as the most innovative and advanced development that began with an extraordinary RSV4. The newest addition to its “Factory Works” program RSV4 R FW-GP and was considered as the most technically advanced bike. RSV4 was the most successful race machine by them and won seven world superbike titles since 2009.
This project will reach a new peak in 2017 by introducing FW-GP which is the powerful version of the RSV4. The configuration of this bike is similar Aprilia that raced in MotoGP world championship 2015.The RSV4 R FW-GP is fitted with a lithium battery, electrical system, special instrumentation, fully programmable ignition, racing modded engine that can generate 204 hp and special instrumentation. It has an Akrapovic titanium exhaust that is suited for the racing purposes.
The suspension of FW-GP includes an adjustable Ohlins Racing FGR 300 front fork. It has a lighter engine and optimized braking system with no ABS. There is a generous use of carbon and aluminum fiber that keeps the weight of the bike as light as possible. The triple clamps are adjustable for offset and allow to adjust the wheelbase. It has 336mm dual stainless steel discs braking up front and four Sintered pads with Brembo Racing 30-34 radial calipers. The new FW-GP differs from a standard RSV4 in every way, the bore of this new bike has been increased to 81mm from 78mm.
RSV4 can be considered as a slight improvement of the SSTK1 machine and the upgrades include Aprilia instrumentation, fully programmable ECU and palmtop terminal, race fairings, maximum power figure of 204 hp and a comprehensive data acquisition system. It boasts the same features from Aprilia’s Race Pack with different engine maps and real-time electronic adjustment. It comes with an electronic gearbox that helps you on downshifts and allows to change every drivetrain setting.
The customers will be allowed to discuss the bike’s configuration and setup with Aprilia’s engineers at the Aprilia Racing headquarters in Noale, Italy. The customers will also receive live updates of progress during the bike’s build. The bike will be hand delivered to the customers by the team along with paddock pass for MotoGP Grand Prix weekend and Aprilia Racing branded full track leathers.
The RSV4 R FW-GP can be considered as the most impressive bikes of 2017 but it comes with a hefty price tag. The official cost of the bike is not declared yet but many bike enthusiasts have packed their bags with hopes to try this thing out. It is truly awesome!
