Harley-Davidson this week unveiled its newest ride, the CVO Pro Street Breakout. Harley Davidson’s custom vehicles operations department have been responsible for some of the company’s special bikes. The new Pro Street Breakout is a limited-production model that introduces a new, fearsome look, and with some drag-racing attitude.
The Pro Street Breakout features a Screamin’ Eagle twin cam 110B engine, which is the most potent Harley-Davidson production air-cooled engine ever made. For maximum performance the engine is equipped with black blunt-cut mufflers, an open-element Screamin’ Eagle heavy breather elite intake, along with a high-performance hydraulic assist & slip clutch.
This new ride also comes with a new 44 mm inverted fork gripped in a robust three-bolt triple-clamp and an added stopping power of dual front disc brakes with floating discs. In addition, the bike’s 19-inch wheel provides flexibility and agility, while its rear end gets a massive 240 section tyre.
Looking beyond just styling, the Pro Street Breakout now includes some smart features, an electronic cruise control and the H-D Smart Security system featuring a new hands-free integrated security and locking fob. The Pro Street Breakout is expected to go on sale by mid-spring this year.
“The Pro Street Breakout represents a new dimension of CVO motorcycles,” Harley-Davidson Styling Director Brad Richards, said in a statement. “The Pro Street Breakout takes its cues from the streets and reflects our own changing tastes. It still delivers the depth of detail and value and the bragging rights the CVO customer expects, but gets there in a different way. Its colors may be subdued but also have incredible depth. We’re developing alternate finishes to bright chrome – brushed and anodized surfaces and tinted clear-coat, for example. The Breakout really lent itself to this new styling direction.”
