Both the bikes Honda Rebel 300 and Honda Rebel 500 used the power plants that was found on the CBR300R (286cc single-cylinder) and CBR500R (471cc parallel-twin). The engine of Rebel 500 is the one found in CB500X, CBR500R and CB500F which is same as 471 cc parallel twin. The Rebel 300 has the same engine found in sporty CBR300R and CB300F machines which are similar to the 286 cc single-cylinder mill. There is a revised tuning for Rebel 300 model which delivers 31 horses with 20 lb-ft of twist which is truly amazing. The Rebel 500 also features a similarly revised tuning that produces 32 lb-ft of torque.
Design that enhances your style
The Rebel 300 and Rebel 500 has no design differences except the engine. The tractor seat and teardrop tank gives a retro look to the bike and contributes to the very comfortable layout for the rider. These bikes have 150 rear and 130 front Dunlop tires that work great on the nastiest roads. It has the wheelbase of 59 inches that gives stability to the bike and also enhances the look and feel of the bike. The standard Rebels are available in Black, Red and Matte Silver color options. The 500 can also have access to Bright Yellow color and Rebel 300 has a Matte Pearl White paint job. The frame and engine of both the bikes are black in color that compliments with the style and design of the bike. The seat is solo and the side-mount key gives a retro touch to the bike.
Rebel 500 and Rebel 300 provides with a very relaxed riding positions that help the riders to place their feet on the mid-mounted pegs. It is a very versatile bike that can be easily ridden slow or fast and gives immense pleasure and fun to the rider. It allows the riders to stretch their arm in a very gentle manner with full control over the bike. The geometry of the Honda Rebel is designed to provide a very easy riding.
Rebel 500 and Rebel 300 are available at the cost of $5,999 and $4,399 respectively but the retail price of the bike is to be announced next month. Honda has given the best update to the old model and maintained its roots that made it such an icon.
