In honor of the 100th anniversary of sisters Adeline and Augusta Van Buren’s ride in 1916, the Motorcycle Adventure Group organizers have envisioned a fascinating women's motorcycling event this July. The sisters who rode across the United States of America were extremely brave to set out on their adventurous journey. They were among the first few who wanted to pave a new path for women motorcyclists across the globe.
This July event started out with just 100 women participating in the cross-country ride. However, now the numbers have risen quite significantly. Some women have decided to join the ride in short stints, as it can become difficult and costly for them to ride along through the whole journey. No matter how long each of them is going to be riding, the enthusiasm that every woman shares is quite overwhelming. You’ll be glad to know that the extended family of the Van Buren sisters is also participating in this massive event.
The event encourages women to take up whatever they put their mind to; it also acts as a significant motivator to encourage women to take up motorcycle riding. It is empowering and interesting, each woman will take away unforgettable experiences and memories. The riders will enjoy a celebration at the end of the event in San Francisco. If you have participated in this amazing journey, then be proud of yourself; especially considering part of the proceeds from this event will be donated to two charities! You will also receive the super cool t-shirt and rider support. Leave a comment if you have done something like this before or are inspired to participate in such cross-country ride events!
